He smiled slightly before looking down to the ground, seemingly ready to conclude their conversation. It is not because he did not want to get to know this person--fellow vampire--or anything, but simply he just had nothing else to say.
Finally, he decided to add, "Well, I suppose they should be back by now, they have gone out for quite a while."
