Here is my unfinished, untitled, chapter one of my fanfiction. xD Please let me know what you think. Also, let me know if any ideas for a title come up. ;o I'll be posting this on Fanfiction.net when I have a few more chapters complete.
Title: Untitled
Author: Amanda N. Edwards (That would be me. :3)
Summary: Her hands laced around his neck, as he wrapped his own around the girl's tiny frame. Her hips swayed with the wind, their feet moving in a united motion, back and forth, around and around... She leaned her head against his chest, Jasper's chest... Her one, her only Jasper. He slid his lips down her neck, Alice's neck. His one, his only Alice... A story of both Alice's and Jasper's previous and current lives.
Alice pursed her lips, and looked at the pale finger-tips of her hand. Her nails had a thick, rusty-looking maroon painted to them. Her eyes were focusing on one nail in particular...The rusty-colored paint was beginning to chip away. A week of wearing the same color seemed to be enough for her. She picked up a cotton swab from the counter, dipped it in the foul-smelling solution referred to as 'nail polish remover' and dabbed away at her finger-tips, her golden eyes focusing on each and every dab. Alice wrinkled her nose, until the deed was complete, each one of her nails bare and clean.
Her hand reached over the counter and pulled a glittering-silver bottle, title 'Star-struck' toward her. She examined the bottle for a few moments, trying to select which color would coat her fingers this week, 'Star-struck' or 'Skyline', a baby blue color, which happened to be sitting beside the bottle of nail polish remover. Her mind decided, her hand untwisted the cap encasing the metallic color within the small glass bottle. Gently, her hand steadied itself, along with the brush, and layered on two coats of silver on each nail.
Her lips curved upward, as she examined her paint-job. Satisfied with her work, she lightly blew on each nail, and gracefully lifted herself upward. Silently, she made her way into the entry of the other room, her ivory skirt flowing behind her as she walked. She also decided to carry a specific scent along with her, "Moonlight Path", which had been Jasper's favorite scent, since the day he had met her. Never was there a day where she had forgotten to dab each on of her wrists with the lovely scent. This scent trailed along behind her, following each and every one of her movements. Her eyes focused on the space before her. Edward sat with Bella, each holding one another's hands, looking into each others' eyes affectionately. Alice kept her eyes moving. The room seemed quite empty, other than the small area, where two people were sitting on the lumps of furniture, across from her.
"Hello Bella, Edward." She greeted them both politely, adding more innocence than she needed to her tone. Edward nodded in acknowledgment. Bella turned, surprised to have heard her. Obviously, she hadn't yet realized how silent and stealthy creatures, such as Alice herself, could be. Alice simply smiled at the girl's reaction, before flashing each, Bella and Edward, a glimpse of her freshly-colored nails. "Your turn!"
Alice leaped forward, her inky hair wisping behind her, as she grasped Bella's hand and lifted her off of the sofa. Edward made a low sound of disappointment, as Bella was lifted away from his side. Alice ignored it, figuring her paint-job was more important than his pleasure. She continued to drag Bella around, until she was in the other room, where a basket of assorted, colored nail polish, sat before them.
"Which color would you like?" She questioned, pulling the basket toward her. "Perhaps, a sunny color to match your sunny personality?"
Bella's eyes warily examined each bottle of color, her head shaking with disapproval as her eyes skimmed over them. "Alice, I really don't think this is ---"
Alice gave a sharp glare. "If you're not going to decide, I will." She retorted, snatching a random color from the basket, 'Sunshine', which was a golden-orange color that seemed to resemble a low-setting sun. Alice uncapped the bottle, cringing as she did so. Her nose instantly wrinkled up, just as it had before. She let her eyes stare toward Bella, waiting for her acknowledgment. Bella's eyes met hers', immediately knowing what to do. Bella placed her hand in Alice's empty palm and watched the brush streak color to her frail-looking finger-nails.
Even though, the sunny-color did suit her personality, painted nails was not one of her favorite things. In fact, she hated having her nails painted. The colors on her finger-tips, when they were painted, often made her feel too girly, which certainly was not her style. Alice stopped moving the brush across one of Bella's finger-nails.
"You most certainly will not." She said, glowering slightly. Bella looked up, confused.
"What?" was her automatic response to Alice's random out-burst. Everyone should have been used to that from Alice, by now, but of course, they weren't. Even though Alice had often had her visions, she left others baffled when she randomly stated things about them, without explaining before-hand.
"Please don't tkae it off when you get home, Bella." Alice pleaded, trying her best to sound innocent and sincere. "It really does suit you. Edward will think so too. In fact, he'll love it." Bella huffed and nodded her head, giving in to Alice's false innocence. She was obviously unable to upset her, so she continuously gave in on most occassions. Alice smiled and continued to layer the golden color to Bella's nails. To Bella's relief, it was over within a few minutes.
Alice was now content, as well as satisfied, and according to her; Edward would be too.
"Well?" Alice questioned, her eyes eager, as well as curious for a reaction. Bella looked at her hands for a moment and tried to force a smile; it was good enough for the vampire.
"Thanks..." She muttered softly, continuing to look down at the bright color. 'Sunshine' really did suit her, just as the real sunshine had in Pheonix. Alice smiled, fully accepting her 'thank you'.
"I'm sure Edward is waiting to see." Alice replied, excitement littering her golden eyes, while dread seemed to show within Bella's. Bella nodded, once more, and exited the room to complain to Edward about the paint-job Alice had made of her finger-nails. Alice simply sat there, examining her own.
