So right to the chase, because obviously I'm new. =]
I'll go by Jasmine here for now until I figure out who and what I want my character to be. My real name, for your curiosity's sake, is Trish. I'm currently reading Eclipse. I have a few more chapters to go. Besides reading and roleplaying, I love to sing and act. I attended the New York Film Academy (NYC location) from September '06 to May '07. End of April, technically. I was in the one year Acting program. I am back in my home state, Louisiana, where I was living prior to September '06, and am now engaged to the most amazing guy I could ever ask for. Hmm, anything else... I'm 20.
That's all, I guess. >_>
Questions? Heh. I've already read the rules and other random things. So anything you would tell me, I probably have already read, though I suppose you should go ahead anyway.
Until later - Ciao!

Salutations, Jasmine. I am the Jasper of this forum, but truthfully I am a female by the name Vicci. Haha, as for why I roleplay a male? Is beyond me. My friend already took Alice so I figured I would be her Jasper.
I wonder if I might accidentally confuse my real gender if I keep roleplaying as males someday...hmm..

Haha, that would be a shame, since females are so exquisite. I love being one. ^^
And there's no problem with roleplaying males. I have before. I think it's actually better sometimes that females roleplay them, because we can make them how they should be. (No offense to any males >_>) Or rather how we want them to be. Hehe, romantic and tender... with a bit of manliness of course.
Thank you for the welcome. =]

Ugh, but often times the female playing the male will over simplify emotions, exaggerate others, and generally be unrealistic/make male readers want to kill the male characters. Coincidentally, I hate Edward. Simply put, no?
But greetings, fair Jasmine.

Edward, you must stop with the Edward bashing. It hurts my heart.... TT_TT
Welcome to the site, Jasmine! Feel free to make a character, and have fun. We're all nice, and we only bite on the RP boards. ^_^ PM me or Edward for any questions, and have fun!

Thank you thank you. =] I'm thinking that I'm going to just make up my own character. And she will probably be a vampire. Now I just have to make a profile. It won't be up until next week, since I am going to Houma (South Louisiana) this weekend to see my mom, and then it is my fiance's birthday beginning of next week. But I'll get it up eventually. I can't wait to roleplay. ^^
And Edward, I suppose you do have a point. Except that there's no reason to not like Edward. >_> In my opinion, anyway. Hehe

When it comes to the girls role-playing guys part, I have to admit that Edward is right on this. There are girls out there who do horrible as a male character. I hopefully am not one of them...I try my best. Just as long it pays off, I'll be satisfied.
But I also agree with Bella, please stop the Edward bashing! Especially by the one who role plays Edward! Come now...don't tell me someone's jealous?
"I think it's actually better sometimes that females role play them, because we can make them how they should be. (No offense to any males >_>) Or rather how we want them to be. Hehe, romantic and tender... with a bit of manliness of course. "
Interesting opinion there, but I'll also have to disagree. Don't you think it sounds a bit selfish there? There certainly is no way a woman can do better at role playing a male--unless they studied psychology or something...I don't know. I know I'm most likely gonna be an imperfect male role player for as long as I live. Why? Because I'm only the X part of the XY chromosomes. Haha!
Had I been here and read this a few years before, I probably would agree with you right there, Jasmine. However, I am simply just over the bashing on males. Of course...I will have my moments, naturally. Aha~
...I hope I don't sound insulting or something, I don't mean to be trying to pick a fight if that's what it sounds like.

*watches attentively*
Fight, fight, fight, fight.
I mean, so sorry. ^_^ Nah, jk. We all know that Edward secretly loves his character. It's okay to appreciate Edward, Edward! (if that made sense....)

*hits Edward* Why do you get all the fan-girls! I mean... If I had your Charisma, why, I wouldn't waste it mucking around. I'd become president of the US! And then... The world!

*hits the person who is roleplaying as Edward* That is so mean, saying you'd use the dazzling skill just to become president--or something. D: Not all of us girls are that gullible!
...Ahem. Well anyways. <<

Hi there! Sorry for the late welcome, I've been busy lately. School is lame, you know. Er, I'm also a female. ^^ My name is Amanda. I'm the one 'Jasper' was reffering to in a previous post. Haha. Anyways, nice to see a new member here. :3 Hope to see you around in some roleplays!

Thank you for the welcome, and it's understandable that you haven't been around. School can be time-consuming. ^_^ And I just realized I never replied to Jasper's post. I meant to. Anyway, I took no offense whatsoever, and have actually come to agree with you. My words about females being the better ones to roleplay males were hasty and half-joking, and were not intended to bash on them in the least. But you were both right in what you said. =]

Good, I had hoped it would be agreeable and not offensive. Heheh.
Oh.
Did you know I was being stupid when I advertised this forum on the forum in which Alice and I were working on? I forgot to put the link in...ahahaha!
